Projects can be broadly divided into the following categories:
Childcare – Volunteers who want to help children should consider joining childcare programs, which focus on providing care and support to disadvantaged children at schools, childcare centers, and shelters. To participate in these projects, volunteers must have a clean criminal background and be creative, imaginative, and loving.
Teaching – Volunteers who are interested in teaching certifications and have either a background in teaching or an interest in teaching children can participate in this project which offers the opportunity to teach English to students from developing countries.
Women Empowerment – Our women empowerment projects are perfect for volunteers passionate about improving the lives of women in developing countries. These projects provide opportunities to help women gain employable skills and learn English, as well as to create ideas to support microfinancing.
Medical and Healthcare – Medical and Healthcare volunteering projects are recommended for people with experience in the medical field, such as students or practitioners. An application requires a resume to be submitted.
Disabled Care– This project offers a great opportunity for volunteers passionate about children and people with disabilities to make a difference in their lives. No prior experience in disabled care is required to participate.
Animal care -The animal care program is specifically designed for people who are passionate about animals and offers them the chance to spend time in beautiful Iringa. Volunteers will be given the opportunity to work alongside existing conservationists and receive all the required orientation and training to ensure that they are able to carry out their duties effectively and safely. The program is available at numerous destinations throughout Iringa, enabling participants to choose the destination that most appeal to them.
Sports coaching Projects – For all sports lovers and enthusiasts who want to share and promote the joys of sports and give back to the community by helping kids in need, this project is a great opportunity. It allows you to make a positive impact on the lives of young athletes and provide them with the resources and support they need to excel in their chosen sport. You will be able to mentor and guide these children, help them develop their skills, and provide them with the necessary resources and tools they need to reach their full potential. Your effort and commitment will be greatly appreciated, and you will be making a real difference in the lives of these children.
Community Development– This program is ideal for volunteers interested to pursue their careers in the non-profit sector. In association with local NGOs and social institutions, community development projects encompass a wide array of programs with start dates available all throughout the year.
Teaching English– Especially interesting for language and culture enthusiasts, the English language program is recommended if you are looking to deeply immerse in the local culture, know local customs, and learn a little bit of the local language amongst other assimilation exercises.
